ON/ICORS Education Grants

Education Grants will be awarded to highly motivated and talented early career investigators to attend the ICORS 2022 World Orthopedic Congress, September 7 to 10, 2022 in Edinburgh by providing CHF 350 for meeting registration or travel costs. (In case the congress has to be held virtually the amount will be translated into number of online registrations for the same amount.)

                               Eligibility Criteria:              

    •Candidates are members in good standing of any of the ICORS associated societies
    •Candidates are below age 40
    •Candidates have a strong interest in orthoregeneration
    •Candidates have not benefited from a similar ON support program in the last 18 months

 

Process for selection: Application directly online to the ON Foundation via myON. Selection based on motivation letter.

Timeline:  May 30, 2022, online application system closes     
Timeline:  June 31, 2022, selection and notification to recipients

Reviewers:  All applications are reviewed by three reviewers; ICORS to provide at least one. Final number of reviewers might differ based on number of applications to keep the workload manageable.
Acknowledgements:   The ON Foundation and all Education Grant recipients will be acknowledged on the ICORS 2022 website and if applicable mobile app, and in the ICORS communications (newsletter, social media)

 


ICORS

The International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies (ICORS) serves as an alliance of societies to promote basic, translational, and clinical musculoskeletal research worldwide. The Combined Meeting was launched in 1992 and has convened every three years since On October 15, 2013, at the 8th Combined Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Societies hosted by the European Orthopaedic Research in Venice, Italy, a new alliance was formed; the International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies. Nine organizations were selected and approved as the founding members; Australia/New Zealand ORS, British ORS, Canadian ORS, Chinese ORS, European ORS, Japanese Orthopaedic Association, Korean ORS, the Orthopaedic Research Society, and the Taiwanese ORS.
